Learning Guitar: Start with Easier Songs

When you decide to learn a new skill, in order to keep yourself motivated, gaining confidence along the way is crucial.

Learning how to play a musical instrument is no different. You have to master the baby steps along the way to work your way up to the more difficult stuff.

This is how it was when I was learning to play the guitar.

I took lessons after school and the teacher started us off with a group of easy guitar songs.

Even though it took me awhile to learn those, the confidence I gained moved me to learn more.

I still continue to learn.

I learned to play guitar when I was about 10 years old and began teaching when I was around 16.

In all truthfulness, the learning is much more fun than the teaching. I say this simply because some of the students I had were not there by choice.

Nevertheless, the students had who really wanted to learn were fun to teach.

I was one of the younger teachers at the store where I worked so I had most of the younger students.

This was not so bad because most of them were quick learners easily learning the easy guitar songs we went over and kept asking for more.
